ACCREDITATION

St. Pius V School initially received accreditation by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC) in 1995.    In 2002, the faculty and administration of St. Pius V School, under the direction of an associate director from NEASC, began the self-study process required for  continued accreditation.  The self-study was designed to demonstrate how St. Pius V School fulfills its mission and meets the standards for accreditation.  The faculty and administration of St. Pius V School carefully carried out the self-study, identifying both strengths and weaknesses of the school and plans and strategies for school improvement.  In addition to the self-study, a four day visit was carried out by a committee of educators assembled by the NEASC.  Upon completion of all requirements outlined by the NEAS&C, St. Pius V School was granted continued accreditation in 2004.

The school community is proud of the generous commendations by the visiting committee including:

The school community has worked diligently toward completing the recommendations of the visiting committee.  The Commission's response to the school's Two-Year Interim Report included commendations for a well-written report and the development of a thorough curriculum.  The enhanced nursing services provide care for our students on a regular basis.  In addition, the school has explored ways to increase time for faculty collaboration and professional development.
