2 Years Experience At School

I am very excited to be a part of Saint Pius V School.

I am the 2nd grade assistant teacher for Mrs. Terrien and STREAM (science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and Math) teacher for 7th and 8th grades. I began at SPS in 2021 in the upper school as an academic assistant. Then as the upper school Interventionist (mainly mathematics) I supported the students as the team teachers determined the need.

This year I am developing SPS’s STREAM program for 7th and 8th grade students. This is a hands on collaborative learning atmosphere where students use real life activities to better conceptualize their classroom teachings.

I also lead our Garden Club, which began in January 2023. We created and planted an 80 Sq. ft. garden in the Spring 2023. Many of the plants were started from seeds by the students. My method of teaching this class was based on STREAM concepts.

I received my doctorate from National University of Natural Medicine in 2001, and received my bachelor’s degree in Geography, minor in electrical engineering, from University of Massachusetts in 1992.

I am a lifelong learner. As a 5th grader I was placed in a program, Youth Tutoring Youth, where I worked with a second grade student needing help in mathematics. This program was influential in furthering my education and love of teaching.
