St. Pius V School has promoted music appreciation and the development of vocal and instrumental skills through its music program. Through music lessons, students prepare for monthly school Liturgies. Students participate with full heart and voice to make the Liturgy experience vibrant and energetic.
Students in grades four through eight have had the opportunity to take instrumental lessons during the school day through the Paul Effman Music Service.
Performance venues for band, tin whistle, and singing traditionally have included a winter singing concert and a late spring band concert.
During the 2020-2021 school year, these programs have been suspended or altered to reflect COVID-19 protocols and mandates. We look forward to when it will be safe to continue the wonderful tradition of music at St. Pius V School.
