Before School Program
The purpose of the before school program is to provide St. Pius V School students with before school care while participating in fun and meaningful activities. The program provides an enjoyable, safe, comfortable environment with various activities including arts and crafts, quiet reading, board games, and table play. The children are served breakfast, which includes juice, cereal, milk, bagels, granola bars, and occasionally a "special breakfast."
The before school program is held in the school building and on the school grounds. The program runs Monday through Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. The before school program is not held on any day when there is no school, including snow days, holidays and vacation days.
The program costs $8.00 per day. Sign-ups are done through the ParentsWeb portal and are due each Thursday by midnight for the following week. A processing fee is added to any sign-ups that need to be done through the office.
After School Program
The After School Program provides an enjoyable atmosphere with various activities including outdoor play, art projects, homework time, and indoor games. The children are served a snack and drink each day. The After School Program is offered to all St. Pius V School students.
The after school program is held in the school building and on the school grounds. The students are divided into three groups: PreK in the PreK room, grades k-2 in the lower room of school, and grades 3-8 in the lower church hall. The program runs Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The after school program is not held on early dismissal days or on any day when there is no school, including snow days, holidays, and vacation days.
The cost of the After School Program is $8.00 per hour and sign-ups are due on the ParentsWeb site by Thursday at midnight for the following week. Sign-ups processed through the office are subject to an additional processing fee.
