Mrs. Noe and I met in May of 2023. After getting a tour of the school, I realized there was a lot I could assist with to help everyone at SPVS. I started working at the school early in the summer of 2023. I spent the entire summer building and installing a new physical and managed wireless network that now interconnects and provides internet access for the entire school. Also during the Summer of 2023, Mrs. Melo and I migrated the school's email to Google Workspace for Education which allowed the creation of Google accounts for all Faculty and Students. The creation of the student accounts brought the use of Chromebooks and Google Classroom to all. The new network now allows the twice a year MAP testing to be done in each classroom at the student's desk. In January 2024, we piloted Lexia Core 5 Reading, a self-paced reading program that provides individualized curriculum and learning for each student. We are continuing with Lexia Core 5 going forward. We will continue researching additional online education programs to support all core curriculum offerings.
